Why choose a full spectrum hemp extract over a CBD isolate?

Simply put – full spectrum is more effective than CBD alone. There are over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. CBD is just one of them. When you use a full-spectrum product, you are encouraging the “entourage effect”, which just means that these chemical compounds work together more effectively as opposed to using them in isolated forms.

What are cannabinoids?

CBD is a cannabinoids just like THC and CBG. These are complex & beneficial chemical compounds found within the molecular structure of the cannabis plant.

How do cannabinoids differ from terpenes?

Terpenes are also chemical compounds but they are not unique to the cannabis plant. Terpenes give plants their aromatic properties. Think about pine needles. They have their own unique scent. This mainly comes from a terpene called Pinene. Interestingly enough, one of the strongest terpenes in an orange peel is called limonene.

They are both beneficial chemical compounds.

These same terpenes that are found in pine needles and orange peels are also found in the cannabis plant. That’s why some hemp flower smells fruity and some smells more cheesy – it’s all about the terpene profile! We are learning more and more about terpenes every day and finding that they too come with their own set of beneficial characteristics for our body.

My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in October and has been using this product daily since then and it has definitely allowed her to get some enjoyment out of the last five months. I would buy it by the gallon if they sold it that way.
